A thousand years ago, Earth was covered by an immense forest. Gradually, it was cleared to make way for fields and pastures. Carbon was then accumulated in the soil by the roots of the trees, the living organisms in the soil, and the falling leaves.
I feel that our agriculture has consumed the carbon accumulated by the trees over the centuries. The soil is the best solution to store it, because it increases fertility and water retention.
But my frustration turned into a need for education, and that’s how this blog came to life. Welcome to At War With The Weather.
